Who We Are
This Privacy Policy is issued by Ethan Sunray LLC, the operator of the Removebg website and browser-local background-removal tool. In this Privacy Policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Ethan Sunray LLC; “Removebg” refers to that website and tool.
Scope
This policy explains how we handle information relating to the website at https://removebg.one and its browser-local background removal tool.
Images Stay on Your Device
When you use the local background-removal tool, the image you select, the generated mask, and the result remain in your browser and on your device. We do not upload, receive, view, store, host, or distribute those image files or their content.
Your browser downloads fixed model files and may cache them in browser storage. This model download does not send your image to us. You can clear cached model files and other local site data through your browser settings.
On-Device Safety Checks
The required content safety pre-check runs on your device using the local safety model. Your image and the safety model's prediction are used only to decide whether the image can enter the editor. They are not sent to us.
Our Terms of Use prohibit using the tool for adult sexual content, whether consensual or non-consensual, any nudity, sexual content involving minors, child sexual exploitation material, unauthorized intimate imagery, and other unlawful or infringing content. If an image does not meet those rules, or the required check cannot be completed, it cannot be processed.
Information We Do Not Retain
The local tool does not send us or store your images, masks, results, safety-check predictions, decisions, content metadata, or content-safety telemetry. We do not maintain merchant-side user data storage for the current product.
Analytics and Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate website usage and performance. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and process technical and usage data under its own privacy policy. You can limit analytics through your browser's privacy controls or extensions.
We use Adsterra to display advertising. Adsterra may use cookies or similar technologies to process technical and usage data under its own privacy policy. You can manage cookies and similar technologies through your browser's privacy controls.
Third-Party Processing
Cloudflare, Google Analytics, and Adsterra may independently process limited technical and usage data to provide website infrastructure, analytics, and advertising. Their processing, safeguards, international transfers, and responses to privacy requests are governed by their respective privacy policies. We do not use them to process images through the local tool.
International Processing
User images, safety-check results, and local processing results are not transferred to our systems. Any international processing of limited technical and usage data by Cloudflare, Google Analytics, or Adsterra is governed by that provider's privacy policy.
Your Requests
Because the current product does not retain merchant-side user data, there is no product data for us to access, correct, or delete. For questions about this policy, email support@removebg.one. Requests relating to data independently processed by Cloudflare, Google Analytics, or Adsterra should be directed to the relevant provider under its privacy policy.
Children
Removebg is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
